Holla! Lets explore Sitiawan with me again alright! ![]()
We went to Lumut Waterfront then, to reminisce the good ol’ time I had during my National Service in March 2009. =) It’s only 10-15 mins drive from Sitiawan. =) We got ourselves some snacks made from seafood and le friend randomly proposed to head to Pangkor for a visit. LOL! I have to give my Turtle Sanctuary a miss. =(
Playing with my camera’s art filter while I’m on the way to Pangkor. =) Dreamy Zoey! Haha! The boat ride is rather cheap, RM 10 for a back and forth ticket. The ride doesn’t last quite long either, take note to drop off only at the second harbour =)
Approaching the harbour and set my foot in Pangkor for the 3rd or 4th time. LOL! I can’t remember ‘cause the memories are too far far away. LOL! We went to Teluk Nipah by taxi (RM15 per ride for 2 person). There are other method to travel around Pangkor too. Definitely gonna try riding motorcycle with le friend the next time I’m here (if)! =) I don’t have a good impression towards Pangkor because there are pretty much dead corals and it isn’t that clean. The beach is okay but the toilets nearby are a BIG, HUGE, GIGANTIC NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LOL! And, they have monkeys roaming around the beach. No offence but I really hate monkeys. I experienced monkeys peeping through the window while I’m showering in the hotel (Pangkor)! Not just that, they even opened our balcony door and throw all my potato chips on the BED. WAD DA FUCK?! I have to change room after that because the whole room is messed with chips, breads and sweet drinks –.- So, I really hate those mischievous and Hamsap monkeys. wtf. LOL! I would rather spend the penny for a trip to Redang or get a room at hotels that hold their own private beach. I had a great time in Pangkor once, when my uncle secured a room in a hotel that have their own private beach. Private beach means it’s only open to those who are staying in the hotel. I forgot which hotel it is already but nevermind because I don’t think I have the budget to book a room there. Teehee.
Tua Pek Kong Temple
GPS Coordinate : N04.09.816 E100.41.331
The last ferry back to Lumut is 7.30pm. So, we head back to where we parked our car and Tadah! Tua Pek Kong temple that is recommended by my friend. It’s near the Restaurent Yee Shi. You can ask the locals for directions or use the GPS coordinate. It’s still new I guess because not many locals know about it and the roads leading to this temple is quite rural.
Well, I guess this is the reason why it’s in such rural place. Haha! =) It’s facing the sea with few sky high statues.
Told ya it’s sky high. Haha! I’m short and fat
or maybe because the statues are too tall! ![]()
Walkway in Monkey Park
It’s actually a swamp, with monkeys. I didn’t go in because I hate monkeys and it’s really really really very smelly. The entrance is full of RUBBISH!
Pretty settings in the temple. =)
Fake caves with Taoism God in it.
Durian Heong Peng
Ahhh, this is why I’m visiting! It’s available in Teluk Intan too but I don’t think you can get this in KL! The durian aroma is very strong for this and it’s best serve hot. It doesn’t taste as good when it’s cold already. Hmmm =/
Heong Peng with rich durian paste, a new try for me! =) Ignore the ugly manicure. Done that in a rush! Haha!
I took this after sun set. It’s quite similar to Dong Chan Temple and I think Dong Chan is much more grand.
You shouldn’t miss Restaurent Peking for the well known Hock Chew cuisines and James Cendol that’s right beside Billion/right in front of the Indian temple! Segari swamp available for visit too but I didn’t go because I HATE MONKEYS! LOL!
Thats all for Sitiawan for now! Might blog more the next time I’m there again with my friends =)
Till then.
